At present the Edmund Rice Movement in St Francis Xavier Province offers the opportunity for people to live and work with Christian Brothers in ministry with people on the margins of society.  These volunteers are called 'Ministry Workers'.   Ministry Workers are encouraged to volunteer for a minimum of one year.   Because of the relational nature of this ministry, Ministry Workers are encouraged to spend longer in these ministry placements.  At present St Francis Xavier Province has workers in Murgon (linked with the Aboriginal Community of Cherbourg), East Timor and South Africa.

Murgon Working in a drop in centre for the youth of the town.
East Timor Working in health care projects in villages.
South Africa Working with street kids in Kimberly and Cape Town.
