TRASNA   the experience

The word "trasna" is an Irish word which signifies "movement across".  Implied in this is the idea of change and action.  Trasna has, at the heart of its programme, an invitation to move from our present way of thought and action to a radical transformation of how we think and act.

TRASNA   the goals
  1. to facilitate a process in which members of the spiritual families of Edmund Rice and Nano Nagle come in touch more deeply with the living spirit which inspired the hearts and actions of Nano and Edmund.
  2. to draw participants into the insights, motivations and skills to seek new ways of responding to the needs of people who struggle with injustice and poverty and the meaning and purpose of their lives.
TRASNA Course Description

This couse involves a process which focusses on a contemporary understanding of the charisms of Edmund and Nano.  Reflection on life journeys of the founders is the impetus for the course participants to touch their own life story.

A new community story grows out of the founders' stories, the individual stories of the participants and contact with people who are marginalised.

Flowing from this experience participants will be encouraged to develop insights to respond with renewed energy in present and possibly in new ministries.
