We who share the Edmund Rice Vision in St. Francis Xavier Province have a clear
commitment to justice and the poor.
Having both a local and global perspective on justice and standing in solidarity
with the poor and disadvantaged, we express our commitment by developing greater
involvement in specific ventures with them, by promoting right relationships and
challenging unjust structures.
Constantly desiring renewal, we seek suitable formation and dialogue with province
leaders in order to discern, individually and communally, ways of living Gospel values
prophetically in the light of Edmund's charism.
We choose ministries and communities which are both life giving and mutually
supportive. These are characterised by openness, hospitality and a spirituality
based on action and reflection.
